About Kate Robbins
Kate Robbins, MA, LPC-S, is passionate about providing support for others in the challenges they face on their journey to a healthy life. Counseling is a “second act” for Kate, as she worked for many years in administrative capacities in several educational settings. She has been affiliated with the Texas State Career Services office for over 11 years, and now works part-time at the Counseling Center at Texas State, as well as running her private practice. In addition, she has served as an adjunct professor in the St. Edward’s University Master of Arts in Counseling program, and at Texas State.
Anxiety, depression, life transitions, co-dependence and addiction, attachment disorders, and trauma are some of the areas Kate focuses her work upon, as well as career decision making. One of her passions is restorative justice, which led her to volunteer as a group facilitator for inmates who participate in the Bridges to Life program within the Kyle Unit and the Lockhart State Jail. She also supervises several LPC-Interns as they work to become fully licensed. Kate has lived in the Wimberley area for over three decades and has been an active member of her local church.
